2018 – A Year of Change

2018 – A Year of Change

This has definitely been a big year for us. Our family has moved into a chapter of our lives. We said goodbye to the toddler and preschool years. All four of our girls are in school full time and I am still not sure how I feel about it. I truly miss them each and every day. Yes, I do love that I can get some things done and enjoy a few minutes to myself, but I would much rather be with them. This year, my babies graduated preschool and started kindergarten and my other two are in 2nd and 4th grade. Our girls are growing up right before our very eyes and I must say I love the people they are becoming, but I miss my babies.

As I sit here and write I can’t help thinking how much I have missed blogging, but it was also a much needed break. I truly have been beyond busy with my mom duties and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I am ready to get back to figuring out what I love to do, for me. This is not an easy thing because for the past 9 1/2 years my life has truly been all about my girls and again I am not complaining. I LOVE being a mom, this is what I was meant to do. Being a mom has truly made me a better person. And honestly, I am happy when my girls (and hubby) are happy. I don’t need much just a happy, heathy family. But, I am ready to see what this next phase has in store for us, for me.

This year has been truly wonderful for our family of six. Now that our girls are getting older everything is becoming easier. Such as, going on trips, out to dinner and simply just plain leaving the house. There was a time when that was quite the chore. These days I barely bring a purse.

Highlights of 2018:

We began the year with a wonderful trip to Disney World. Vacationing with our girls is truly one of my favorite things to do. I love being able to relax and simply enjoy our family.

Thank you Mimi and Papa for always making our vacations extra special.

I still can’t believe these two graduated preschool…

Birthdays

Our girls turned 9, 7, and 5

School Pictures 2018

4th, 2nd and Kindergarten

Preparing for school pictures is so much work and yet they never turn out like one would expect. Luckily, each year we have professional family pictures taken.

Halloween 2018

Our girls loved carving pumpkins more than ever before. In the past I was always left to finish up, but this year they all pitched in and had a blast.

We love when Mimi comes to volunteer at school!

Best Mimi EVER!!!

Fun in the SNOW!

These girls love to be together and nothing makes me happier.

Walking home from the bus with Daddy is rare, but when he’s able joins us we take full advantage of it. Family time is our favorite!

These two….

Best friends from the start…

Nothing will break them apart…

First year having all my girls join me at Muffins with Mom.

Our Annual Visit to Niagara Falls at Thanksgiving

It sure was cold. But I love seeing their excitement year after year and this year was no exception.

I loved watching Sophia and Isabella take pictures. They were such cute little tourists.

What’s a hotel visit without some pool time?

Christmas Tree Shopping Fun!

I love that our Isabella has such a zest for life. She lives life her way.

This year these two wanted to hang the tree lights all by themselves and they did a GREAT job. I am more than happy to pass this task over to them. Such big girls!

We had such an amazing 2018, I can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store for us.

**Details from Christmas 2018 still to come….
